
What Is Life Coaching?
Life coaching is not :
- Psychotherapy – used to treat emotional problems and mental health issues
- Counselling – talk therapy working to determine past events that have contributed to the client’s current state
- Mentoring – A mentor may share information about his or her own career or life – path, as well as providing advice or role modelling
Life coaching focuses on having an end goal which needs to be achieved. It empowers the client to make their own choices and helps drive them forward towards their goals having a clear and achievable plan in order to get there.
About Me
I worked in corporate recruitment for 10 years then retrained as a teacher after my children were born and then worked in education for a further 11 years. During this time, I was working 60 – hour weeks plus weekends whilst trying to juggle kids and home life too. I was exhausted and burnt out, just going from one day to the next in a blur with no quality time to spend with friends, family or myself. Something had to give, or I knew I would be in serious trouble. Then life in its wisdom threw me a lifeline when I was diagnosed with breast cancer- sounds odd to call breast cancer a lifeline but what it did do was force me to stop and re-evaluate what was important in my life and to make the changes I needed, to feel like I was living again instead of just surviving. My motto became “Life is too short”. So, after my surgery and treatment, I resigned as a teacher and went to train at The Coaching Academy the UK’s leading training provider where I became a SFEDI accredited Life Coach and NLP (Neurolinguistic programming practitioner) specialising in life redesign and life transitions.
I became passionate about helping people live the life they want and love NOW rather than wait for circumstances to force them to stop. I set up my own coaching practice and haven’t looked back. I coach individuals as well as group coaching and coaching in the workplace. I’m also really privileged to be able to support and coach women with breast cancer with the charity Breast Cancer Now as well as work as an associate of The Coaching Academy as a Course Manager.
My coaching sessions are designed to help people create and change things in their lives to help them live the life that is right for them now and to be the absolute best versions of their authentic self.
My coaching is a professional two-way relationship and I coach with integrity, support and kindness. I work with people who are open to change and willing to do the work in order to achieve the goals that lead them to a life they love.
I will help identify what you do want instead of what you don’t want, together I will break down the barriers preventing you from living the life you want and set achievable goals towards your steps to success.

My approach
My coaching style is very simply to work with integrity, honesty and warmth and to use my professional training and experience to give you the very best chance of living the life you want now.

- I will give you the tools using NLP techniques to break through negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs
- Use proven techniques to set achievable goals towards the life you want.
